Steve Towe

Steve Towe

Chief Executive Officer at Powerfleet

With a proven track record of scaling high value, global technology organizations, Towe joins Powerfleet from Aptos, the global leader of unified commerce solutions in the retail enterprise SaaS market, where he successfully served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the past five years.

In prior positions with both publicly traded and private equity backed companies, Towe has gained more than 16 years of strategic leadership experience on the global SaaS IoT stage. Most notably, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of Masternaut, a global telematics provider, where he was instrumental in delivering robust revenue growth and profit expansion during his tenure from 2011 to 2016.

Previously, Towe achieved significant international organic growth alongside market consolidation as Managing Director of the highly acquisitive telemetry data business Cybit. He also held senior executive level positions for the high velocity, fleet management subsidiary of the Trafficmaster Group, Fleetstar Information Systems.

Catherine Lewis joins Powerfleet as Chief Customer Officer, after serving 10 years as the Executive Vice President of Technology and Managing Director of central services at MiX Telematics. During her 20+ years at MiX, Catherine held various roles, and was the executive leader responsible for a number of business functions, including software and hardware engineering, SaaS operations and support, manufacturing & supply chain, marketing, product management, business systems and IT. She has always filled global roles and is passionate about technology and people, having majored in Information Systems at the University of Cape Town. Prior to joining MiX, Catherine worked for Dimension Data and Procter & Gamble.

Jonathan Bates

Jonathan is Powerfleet’s Chief Product Officer and previously served as MiX’s Executive Vice President of Marketing. Prior to that appointment, Jonathan was Marketing Director in Europe. Jonathan began his career at MiX as a Product Manager in November 2012. Before joining MiX, Jonathan held several managerial positions from September 2005 to October 2012, within the PSA Peugeot Citroen (now Stellantis) Group in the functions of sales, marketing, product management, customer success and project management. Jonathan also holds a Bachelor of Law degree in the UK.

Josh Betz

Betz is a proven sales executive with a passion for building, scaling, and leading global teams. He has more than 20 years of experience helping grow SaaS software and technology companies of all sizes, ranging from startups to $1b+, with multiple successful exits.

Prior to Powerfleet, Betz led global pre-sales, sales operations, and sales enablement at e2open, a global supply chain software company, where he was instrumental in growing the business from $130m to $335m through multiple acquisitions and organic growth. Prior to e2open, Betz helped build a silicon-valley based same-day delivery startup, Deliv, growing from one market to 33 markets/1,500 cities and doubling in revenue year over year.

Betz received a degree in Computer Science from Carroll University.

Dave Schaller

Industry Engagement Director at NACFE

Dave Schaller is the Industry Engagement Director for the NACFE. His responsibilities include interfacing with fleets and suppliers, writing reports, conducting workshops, giving presentations and running social media groups. Dave works closely with the drivers, fleets and sponsors for the Run on Less demonstrations. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Purdue University and an MBA from Ball State University.

As a Navistar employee for 27 years, he held positions in production design, research, program management, dealer sales training, marketing, product line management, and strategic product planning. A marketing role allowed Dave to spend many days in truck stops, fleet offices and dealerships in five countries learning about what the industry desired and why. Dave holds five US patents, has written several SAE papers and numerous NACFE publications.

The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) is a non-profit group working to double the fuel economy of fleets. They research and publish Confidence Reports and Guidance Documents on over 80 technologies available to the industry. Their “Annual Fleet Fuel Study” reports on industry trends over the past decade and points the way to GHG Phase 2 compliance. Michael is the Executive Vice President of the Material Handling Industry’s (MHI) Knowledge Center and the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). He holds responsibility for the comprehensive execution of MHI’s Knowledge Center and WERC’s strategies, stakeholder engagement, influence, as well as strategic planning, budgeting, and evaluation.

Michael and his team are dedicated to ensuring that the MHI Knowledge Center and WERC foster professional excellence, cultivate a skilled workforce, nurture talent, and actively engage with academia and students. These divisions offer the organization’s members education, research, and services aimed at their professional development and enhancing logistics performance within their organizations.

Until August 2020, Michael served as the Chief Executive Officer of WERC, where he played a pivotal role in fulfilling the organization‘s commitment to its members and the industry at large. Michael’s tenure with WERC began in 2000, initially as the Senior Director overseeing the organization’s flagship annual conference and managing WERC’s chapter network. In 2009, Michael was appointed CEO by WERC’s board of directors.

Michael’s career in association management commenced at the Property Loss Research Bureau (PLRB), a trade association representing property and casualty insurance companies. In this capacity, Michael developed learning materials, managed educational programs, and coordinated the association’s annual conference and tradeshow.

Michael holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. Additionally, he has served as a past board member of the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI).

Kristine Lynn has obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering and a MS in Public Health-Industrial Hygiene both from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Ms. Lynn has worked for the U.S. Department of Labor/OSHA for a total of 14years. Her initial position was a Compliance Safety and Health Officer/Industrial Hygienist. She currently holds the position of a Compliance Assistance Specialist. Her current duties include the fostering of alliances and partnerships with stakeholders, providing awareness, outreach, and technical assistance to the public on any OSHA updates involving safety and health.

Starting on the shop floor as an assembler, going back to school to become a skilled trades electrician specializing in Controls electronics for several years. Before going back to school again and getting my Electrical Engineering degree focused on automation controls and automation.

After being promoted into management at other companies I decided this is where I‘ll stay and not only be my personnel’s manager but also a resource to teach them what I’ve learned over the 30+ years of my career in Controls and automation.

Joined Ryder in 2021 as part of their SCS Tech Health Vertical moving into more automated warehousing solutions. One of my first positions where I joined as a senior manager to help build a completely new vertical focused on automated solutions in logistics. Within the first 4 months I was promoted into a regional role and consult on new business development around the country providing support for new automation as well as directly manage multiple sites in the Greater St. Louis Area.

Since joining the company in 2006, Eric has held management and leadership roles in software development, pre-sales and solutions engineering, and product management. Eric holds a BSc in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and is a Certified Product Manager from the AIPMM.

Mr. Walker serves as Vice President of Supply Chain Product Management for Powerfleet, leading Powerfleet’s supply chain product teams to drive innovative products and solutions. Mr. Walker has over 25 years of experience leading product strategy, technological innovation, and product development execution. For the last 15 years, Scott has led various roles within Powefleet’s product, implementation, and sales teams. Prior to joining Powerfleet, Mr. Walker held various leadership positions at Emerson Electric as part of the Industrial Automation group. Previously, Drew has been responsible for the Construction Telematics product portfolio at Trimble, the Government and Insurance Telematics portfolios at Azuga and the Global Marketing program at Skypatrol.

Kevin has over 30 years of military and law enforcement experience and is committed to ensuring workplace safety. He is a certified D.O.T. Inspector in North American Standards A&B, Hazardous Materials, Bulk Packaging, and Cargo Tanks. He is also a Certified Flagger Instructor in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida and a certified Instructor in CPR, First Aid, and AED. He also worked as a Safety Manager for one of the top trucking companies.

Kevin is an FMCSA &DOT Expert, and he has helped companies:

Glen started his career as a professional Electrical Engineer and from there broadened his technology and business leadership experience across Australasia, North America, Europe and Africa.

Pat O’Reagan

Pat O’Reagan has been working with Toyota Motor North America for 26 years in various roles and now serves as a Safety Engineer. Pat developed a process using PowerFleet’s VMS data to visualize impact events throughout Toyota’s North American operations and the associated investigation results from those events. He is an United States Air Force veteran and holds a BBA from Baylor University, a MS from Troy University, and an MA in International Affairs from Washington University.
