AXA Seguros Selects Powerfleet as a Preferred Technology Partner to Strengthen Their Commercial Fleets Segment

WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ – July 5, 2022Powerfleet, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIOT) a global leader of Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions that manage enterprise assets for seamless business operations, today announced it has been selected by AXA Seguros, one of the largest insurance companies in Mexico, as a preferred partner of its fleet technology solutions. Led by Powerfleet’s Mexico subsidiary, Pointer, the partnership will look to help AXA strengthen its value proposition with the commercial heavy-duty fleets segment by helping customers improve operations and risk management through advanced telematics.

After a successful 60-day trial, AXA Seguros recognized the added value Pointer by Powerfleet MX solutions brought to help them differentiate from the competition in the commercial fleets segment. In addition to its fleet operations technology solutions, AXA Seguros offers fuel management, real-time location tracking, optimized routing, truck status, and driver behavior management through its partnership with Pointer by Powerfleet MX.

AXA Seguros outlined three main reasons for their selection of Pointer by Powerfleet MX as their telematics provider:

  • Pointer by Powerfleet MX delivers above average fleet recovery rate – compared to competitors, Pointer by Powerfleet MX offers an industry high 20% recovery rate.
  • Pointer by Powerfleet MX’s expertise with integrations and flexibility allows the brand to develop tailored solutions based on the needs of customers.
  • Pointer by Powerfleet MX fully owns its entire suite of solutions, meaning customers are in full control of all hardware and software with minimal integration issues.

“It’s been a great journey for our team to work with AXA and help them become more competitive in their market,” said Pointer by Powerfleet MX CEO Eduardo Chavez. “Both companies are focused on providing high-quality services to reduce risks and create significant financial savings for commercial fleets. This is just the beginning of a great partnership that may evolve into something greater for our customers.”

Kautex Expands Adoption of Powerfleet Telematics Solution

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., February 17, 2022 — Powerfleet, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIOT), a global leader of subscription-based wireless solutions that manage enterprise assets for seamless business operations, today announced it will be further deploying its Powerfleet Enterprise industrial telematics solution to top global automotive supplier, Kautex, throughout 2022. Kautex has more than doubled the number of sites employing Powerfleet’s telematics solutions on its forklifts in the past 12 months, which spans six countries and three continents. An additional nine sites are planned for implementation in 2022.

Safety is at the core of Powerfleet’s Enterprise solution. The telematics platform (VAC4S) combined with Powerfleet’s Enterprise software helps Kautex improve workplace safety and security by restricting vehicle access to trained, authorized operators, enforcing electronic safety inspection checklists and sensing vehicle impacts. The Enterprise solution also empowers Kautex to effectively manage, track, monitor, and control its powered industrial vehicles and the operators who use them. The technology improves material handling productivity, reduce costs, and increase visibility by establishing accountability for the use of forklifts and other industrial trucks, ensuring equipment is in the proper place at the right time and streamlining workflow.

Since partnering with Powerfleet, Kautex has been able to right-size its fleet in several locations, across multiple time zones. In the first facility, Kautex reduced its fleet by over 10% after analyzing the utilization data from the Powerfleet Enterprise system. Their return on investment (ROI) was achieved through cost reductions of more than $10,000 per year, for each truck eliminated, which included the cost of a fork truck and maintenance.

“Since deploying the Powerfleet Enterprise solution across our industrial fleet, we have seen a reduction in impacts, accidents and damage to equipment and goods,” said Martin Weiss, Global Director Material Excellence at Kautex. “We have gone from adopting the solution at a single site to more than eight locations across the globe with plans for continued deployments. The key to making our new deployments so successful has been Powerfleet’s global presence and its ability to work with us in multiple geographies. This along with Powerfleet’s easy-to-use enterprise software played a major role in our decision to grow our partnership with Powerfleet.”

Powerfleet’s Enterprise solution has allowed Kautex to aggregate data from multiple facilities within one application, giving them faster, more accurate information for decision-making, which has helped Kautex deliver even greater safety, modernization and assess and implement best practices across facilities.

“We are always thrilled when customers quickly see the ROI of partnering with us,” explained Joel Norris, Vice President of Sales, Powerfleet. “Powerfleet’s stellar customer service and ability to address Kautex’s global operations has been key to our two companies’ thriving partnership. We are excited that their team will continue to lean on our Powerfleet Enterprise solution and our analytics platform, Powerfleet IQ, to not only ensure safety across their facilities but to also make better informed decisions when it comes to equipment utilization.”

Powerfleet Receives 2021 IoT Evolution Asset Tracking Award

Powerfleet Launches Vista, an Advanced Vehicle Video Solution with AI Capabilities

New Video Technology Enables Safer, More Efficient Commercial Vehicle Management

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., June 22, 2021 — Powerfleet, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIOT) a global leader and provider of subscription-based wireless IoT and M2M solutions for securing, controlling, tracking and managing high-value enterprise assets, today announced the launch of Vista, a best-in-class in-vehicle video solution that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze and proactively manage risky driving situations across fleets. With Vista, Powerfleet is expanding its image technology portfolio, which includes the patent-pending LV-710 freight camera for trailers and containers and the CP4 System designed for the industrial truck market.

The global demand for dashboard and 360-degree camera technology is growing due to a considerable rise in the number of vehicle related accidents, thefts, and “nuclear verdicts” (jury awards of more than $10 million) in the trucking industry. The National Highway Safety Administration (NTSA) reports that an estimated 38,680 deaths in motor vehicle traffic crashes in 2020. Up to 96% of all auto accidents are a result of human error, which further emphasizes the need for fleets to invest in technology to maintain the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and assets.

Recorded video events provide additional contextual insights around hard braking and turning events, vehicle accidents as well as vehicle and content theft. Easy to install and operate, Vista delivers real-time, high-definition video from both road and driver facing cameras to bolster safety and training programs, help exonerate drivers, prevent accidents, and lower insurance costs.

“We have seen strong demand from customers in our vertical and geographic markets for additional video solutions that provide visual proof to improve safety and operations,” said Elizabeth Elkins, Chief Product Officer at Powerfleet. “As a leading IoT solutions provider, it made sense to add Vista to our portfolio of technology solutions focused on keeping drivers safe, protecting assets, and reducing insurance premiums. Whether you have a fleet of over-the-road trucks, cars or service and delivery vans, Vista can play a valuable part of a world-class safety program. The Vista video platform supports safe driving with the ability to auto-detect unsafe driving conditions while delivering real-time driver audio feedback and warnings to help correct risky driving behaviors as they occur.”

Vista is a flexible video solution that can operate stand-alone or as an integrated part of any fleet management system. It leverages the latest processor technology for edge-processing and future proofing and can be installed with minimal configuration. Vista wireless connectivity supports 4G LTE and has built-in Wi-Fi that supports auxiliary cameras for 360° views. Operations managers can stream live video, download video events, and access all cameras through a secure and comprehensive portal.

Other key features include:

• Live streaming: check on the conditions of the road, cab and your assets at any time
• Real time drive alerting (in-cab feature): cameras will notify driver of safety events in real time
• Video history review: all videos on the SD card can be accessed remotely or locally at anytime
• Parking mode: cameras will record any events that occur following sudden jolts when the vehicle is turned off
• Event-based notifications: including harsh acceleration or braking, distracted driving traits, harsh cornering, speeding and more
